Our Foster lovebird escaped yesterday. Miraculously, I found him today in our rose bush. He survived his wild escapade in our backyard. Here's Romeo (on the right) with his new buddy, yet to be named. They make a good couple I think.
So I'm babysitting a Mandarin Chinese speaking Cockatoo. I didn't think anyone really believed that this bird existed, so I thought I'd post this. I finally found out what he's been saying....Ni Hao Ma = How are You. I've heard it 500+ times a day. Oh and he screams Ma Ma!? when I leave the room. Very funny and cute. Not so cute after 11:00 pm. If you can imagine having a toddler for 80 years, then you can imagine what owning a parrot would be like. Enjoy!
I can not even begin to explain how amazing this weekend was in Vegas. The Ultimate Fighter Finale at The Palms was AWESOME! The event began at around 4 pm with preliminary fights and ended at 9:30 with The Huerta match. The only other moment that was more exciting than the Huerta/Guida fight, was moment that War beat J-ROC by technical knockout in the 3rd round. I've never seen more blood than was spilled in that octagon. Both fights could have gone either way, but in the end both Huerta and War Machine came out with huge wins that brought the the crowd to their feet. What a show...enjoy the pictures.
I am beyond excited for this Saturday. This year I wanted to do something big for Seth's 33rd Birthday. I suprised him with a Vegas Weekend Getaway, which includes 2 box seat tickets to this Saturday's UFC Finale at The Pearl in the Palms Casino. We're going to see it live baby....finally! I really wanted to get tickets to UFC 79 Hughes vs Serra at The Mandalay Bay, but I'll be on the East Coast on the 29th.
Here's Seth after his latest flying adventure at Avenue S in Palmdale. The ridge soaring was almost perfect, except for the 45 mph wind gusts. His cast comes off in a week.
